Angeleaza Anderson-Shagnea, Tabata
Angeleaza is a fitness instructor and actor from DC who very recently relocated to NYC with her husband. She holds many fitness certifications, and has taught a wide variety of fitness classes over the years, from cardio dance and Zumba to Tabata and strength and conditioning formats. Most recently, she worked as a coach for Orangetheory Fitness, Lagree, Georgetown Law School’s Fitness Center, and F45 Training. She is super excited to continue coaching during this quaran-time, and is so thankful to be a part of the Sweat and Social Distancing team!

Mary Kate Carter, Sculpt & Kickboxing
Mary Kate is a certified group fitness instructor living in Washington, D.C. where she works in international economic policy. She has been teaching fitness classes of a variety of formats - barre, kickboxing, HIIT - for six years. In addition to teaching classes, Mary Kate loves to run, hike, and play recreational sports for exercise. She also loves to let loose and dance, so you can often find her at various dance-based classes around the city!

Claudia Cavazza, Yoga Nidra
Claudia is an ERYT-200 yoga teacher, a VETOGA graduate, a non-profit with a mission to bring free yoga and meditation to veterans, first-responders and their families. Claudia completed the trauma-informed yoga training via Prison Yoga Project, is an advanced Professional Yoga Nidra facilitator specialized in the Integrative Amrit Yoga Nidra Method, & holds a Certified Trauma Professional and a Compassion Fatigue Professional certification. She founded the corporate wellness company WRKwell, to deliver VOI (Value on Investment) focused stress management solutions to local corporate employees.

Aryeh Feldheim, Weight Lifting
Aryeh was born and raised in South Florida where he competed in high school sports and quickly developed a passion for fitness. After graduating from the University of Central Florida with a B.S. Civil Engineering, he spent four years in the Navy where he trained in multiple fitness modalities like Powerlifting and Crossfit. He is now pursuing a Master of Public Health at the George Washington University.
Aryeh is a certified personal trainer and instructor where he enjoys guiding people along their own fitness journeys. When he’s not in the weight room, you can find him at the beach, enjoying a hike, or spending time at a local coffee shop.

Ruthie Flynn, Yoga
My name is Ruthie and I teach power and restorative yoga. I received my teacher training from Corepower in 2017; since then, I've taught at a variety of studios in the DC area (Vida Fitness, Shaw Yoga, Catholic University, GWU Lerner Fitness Center, and Illumin8 Studios). My yoga teaching practice is about helping people reconnect with their bodies, discover their strength, and build community--which is what we need right now! Besides teaching, I am a master's student at GWU studying anthropology.

Sasha Marseille, Zumba
My name is Sasha and I have been a licensed Zumba instructor since July 2017. I enjoy being able to combine my two loves: dance and fitness. Apart from Zumba, I am almost a lawyer. I will be graduating from law school in May. With everything going on and so much uncertainty it is important to engage in self care now more than ever. Staying active has been helping me get through this crazy time and if that is also the case for you, I hope you'll join me soon in my next virtual class!

Eric Ruiz, Zumba
Eric is a Salvadoran, Washington DC born and raised licensed Zumba® instructor since 2009. He teaches in various studios and gyms in Washington D.C. and has taught in Master Classes and charity events all over the DMV area, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
He is licensed to teach Aqua Zumba®, Zumbatomic® (now Kids Zumba® and Zumba® Junior), Zumba® Toning, and Zumba® Sentao.

Angelena Stokes-Wickersham, Yoga
A Hawaii native, Angelena spent her days outside hiking in the mountains and on her board at the beach. Her love for mindful practice began in 2007 when she went with her first yoga class. " I liked the challenging movements and the feel of ease I hadn't found anywhere else." Over the years, yoga became a mindfulness practice for Angelena. "Yoga has taught me to hold space for myself, listen to the needs of my body, and stay present throughout constant change." Her mission is to inspire others to improve wellness and cultivate ease. Through teaching she shares the journey of yoga through mind, body, and spirit.

Kelley Vargo, 30 Minute HIIT
Kelley is an NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist, ACE Certified Health Coach, Behavior Change Specialist and Master Trainer. She lives in Arlington, Virginia. When she's not teaching in the classroom, she's coaching workouts online, in person, or reading a book! Her love for getting people to move together inspired Sweat and Social Distance.

Diana Welch, Tabata
Diana Welch was born and raised in Middletown NY. She is a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She also recently became a UESCA certified running coach and is the girls Track and Field coach at her alma mater high school. Diana is an avid runner, and loves competing in races, mainly distance races. She has run everything from a 5k to a full marathon and is hoping to run the Philadelphia Marathon in November in hopes of qualifying for Boston. When she is not working or running, she loves taking yoga classes, hiking and baking.
